COOL THINGS I'VE DONE SINCE TUESDAY...

WEDNESDAY: I TAGGED THE WALL, (If you don't know what that means...find out.)

THURSDAY: Attended a program in honor of the program participants; I gave a speech and was on TV! Afterwards we partied all night at an outdoor restraunt; the dancing was AMAZING!!!!

FRIDAY: Spent the night at the campsite I've been working at w/ a bunch of cool brits!

SATURDAY: Went to a neat lil' village just outside of Bethlehem called Artus. Went to a club called "Cosmos" and danced my ass off!

SUNDAY: Me and the roomie made pancakes for the family, started packing, and went to a wedding! The wedding was phenominal and I cannot wait to marry a palestinian...

TODAY: Me and the roomie are workin on finishing packing and mailing "sensitive materials" home, it's boring and annoying. Tonight our host parents are having a BBQ in our honor which is a really big deal, it's going to be nice.

I've cried twice today alone, this is so hard.

I need your prayers for my safe/easy voyage through airport security this evening.

There is a Palestinian male model who thinks I am very cute...I'm gonna miss this place!

This is my last post from palestine, it's been great guys. Thank you so much for your thoughts (even the "different" ones!) and encouragement! I don't think I could've done this w/out you guys on the other end of xanga pushing me! Thanks.

I'M SAFE

Dear God in heaven what in the hell makes people think that because the Israelis have had it bad for a long time they can take it out on a force they pretty much have complete control over? Shit, Fuck, Damn kids! And this Lebanon thing is out of control! Now Iran is threatening Israel against attacking Syria...which will probably happen anyway. I don't agree w/ Israel about pretty much ANYTHING, but these surrounding "sister" countries sure are making it MUCH MUCH MUCH harder for me to explain the plite of the Palestinians. I just want you guys to remember that a Government ONLY represents the people, it doesn't reflect them...Americans of all people should understand that.

MOMENT OF TRUTH: I'm terrified to come home because I'm really not sure how this has changed me. I've been hanging out w/ other people who are changing as well so it's hard to compare the person I am to the person I was two months ago...since I've been seperated from my "real life". I'm terrified to leave...AND I can't wait to come home and spend time w/ the people I love the most. I feel like I've only been here to weeks, but I feel like I've been away from home for two years...make any sense? It will also be hard to be in America where I am a plain short girl, because Palestinians think I'm georgeous (that one was selfish...and serious!).

Please keep praying for my friend Joe, in Lebanon...he lives in Beruit(sp?).

Spent all day at my organization's children's camp...I love kids.

Anna's neck hurts...give her some drugs. My allergies are ATTACKING my body AND the "Extreme Clinical Exhaustion" is flaring up again...mom has to call my doctor at home...I over did it again.

Politics aside: one of the participants here for June is studying in Lebanon right now. Please pray for him and all of the innocent people who will be affected by this.
